Art of the Day: "Evening light on Atlantic Drive, Achill, 2008" by Aidan Flanagan Irish Landscapes

“"Evening Light on Atlantic Drive, Achill" was inspired by my many visits to the West of Ireland island of Achill. Each time that I visit this magic place, I schedule a walk along the southern coast of the island, which is part of the wider "Atlantic Drive". Late evening, when the weather permits, allows spectacular views towards the western end of the island, with the shafts of evening sunlight playing with the landscape and seascape. I love this print because it brings me right back to the source.”
