“This is a large statement piece inspired by my travels to Morocco. Full of impact and atmosphere, I have used brushes with palette knives in my multi-layered technique to achieve lots of texture. Copper and gold highlights add an extra dimension in different light sources.”

Alexander Kriushin is works in the traditions of the European school of fine arts, combined with the southern temperament of execution. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.
With this painting, I tried to illustrate my meditative state of mind. Gold and everything that shines and has worth are inside us.
