Art of the Day: "Cypress Swamp, 2017" by Katrina Case

“I have recently been reconnected with a friend of mine from high school who now lives in Louisiana. He is the sole inspiration for this piece. Now they hold an even greater magic for me; the possibilities of an uncharted future, second chances and new memories to be made. The haunting beauty of these giants rests steady in my thoughts, the quiet sounds of the swamp tugging gently at me, enticing me to come and visit; to travel through these ancient gardens.”
