Art of the Day: "Beach Kickabout., 2013" by John Halliday

Art of the Day: "Beach Kickabout., 2013" by John Halliday

“This painting was inspired by a rare sunny day and thoughts of what are remembered to be better summers. My aim was to capture an impression from my childhood/youth playing on a beach with usually my brothers and some friends, and always football. At the time these games were as competitive as cup finals. Oils on a canvas board gave me the colours and shapes I needed to complete this work.”

Alexander Kriushin is works in the traditions of the European school of fine arts, combined with the southern temperament of execution. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.

"Awareness, 2017" by Suzana Dzelatovic

With this painting, I tried to illustrate my meditative state of mind. Gold and everything that shines and has worth are inside us. We must close our eyes to see things clearly and to find our inner treasure. Original acrylic painting. Signed on the front. Unique and one of a kind with a certificate of authenticity.
