    My ruins of Paphos goes to a watercolor exhibition in France

    Three years ago I stopped at this point. I talked in my videos and photo memories about my trip to Cyprus and my impressions of visiting the ruins of Paphos. Then I depicted the ancient ruins of Saranta Colones in watercolor on a small sheet of paper. You can see this small watercolor in the “Castles and Ruins” section. And then I wanted to recreate this work on a large sheet of paper! The large version turned out to be very successful and was chosen to participate in an exhibition in France, which will take place in the summer of 2025. I am glad to share this news with you.

    Memories of Paphos and watercolor painting of the ruins.

    This is the ancient castle of Saranta Kolones. Previously, I had a small sketch on which I created a large work for the watercolor exhibition in Moscow. I love to wander through the ruins and think about the transience of the time allotted to us. Perhaps that is why I create watercolor paintings. The lightness and transparency of this technique is consonant with the ephemeral nature of being.

    My painting "Cretan sheep" was awarded in the First International Hamyang Biennale "Beauty of Life". Soon my watercolor from Korea will return to me and I can put it up for sale. In the photo you can see a small version of this art, which I used as a sketch for painting the competition work. A small version is now available for purchase.

    The Rose Garden in Sokolniki is a place of my constant inspiration. I can spend all day there. This Rosary and the Lilac Garden in Moscow are my favorite places for both rest and work.

    Watercolor Roses on wet paper Demo

    47 second video about how I paint roses in watercolors using the "wet" technique. In fact, it took me 40 minutes to paint this flowers. The paper dried out gradually. I am not using a pencil sketch here. Roses appear immediately on a white sheet of paper.
