    Tweaking details

    I am working on a series of my sculptures to be cast. There are many variations and as many as 8 family members. They all need to sit perfectly without a twist or wobble. Then they have to have a kind and loving expression without faces or arms. That is difficult to achieve especially in relation to all the possible variations families can have. So the dad need to look kindly to his wife but also the his son. While big sister is looking at little sister but also at mom. So many possible combinations! Whew it's a puzzle!

    Working on a large family of 4

    Here I am working in the studio at my foundry enlarging my family of four and obviously the cat is part of it. I am applying wax clay to tweak the last adjustments before the mold is made by the mold maker. They are < 24" tall and in an edition of 30. They will be available in green and brown patina when they are finally cast. It i a very long process from modeling to the finalized bronze sculpture. I am working with 4 different foundries right now, all of them have their specialty. Some do large work others the very small. My work is available online and in Galleries in the US, Europe and Dubai
