Hello Jay! Your reviews inspire me to be the best artist I can be. Each time I pick up a brush I think to myself, "I bet Jay would like this one." Just to paint for people to have people buy your art is not enough for me. I want them to feel the emotion I felt when I brushed paint from my pallet to the blank canvas. I want them to wonder what story I am trying to tell. I love to hear from my customer, the stories they think the painting tells. To tell me of how much my art means to them, or how on a particular day it helped them get through another battle. Your kind words have done that for me this day sir. And for that I thank you. This lovely geisha shares with us her contemplation of a majestic ship. We can imagine she watches as a lover prepares to sail away. Or, perhaps she is welcoming his return. We can decide. She stands solemn sentry with other art pieces by William F Adams, over the prize of my collection, a magnificent vintage wedding kimono that hangs nearby. Sometimes I dread the thought of parting with them.,but if they can bring such powerful emotion to someone else as they do me... and they feel that they must have it... I've lost count of how many pieces I have of William F. Adams' work. (At least a dozen!) He captures the essence and moods of places and objects that lure you into a magical world of mesmerizing fantasy. Your soul becomes a part of his scenery as he sweeps you away to Asia or beckons you to join him at sea. What a master!
