it was recast as Midwest Seasons for the 2009 show.

Event: Lake Effect - New Work by Valerie Berkely

    Dates: May 22, 2015 - July 18, 2015

Venue: Center for the Visual Arts, Wausau, Wisconsin

Valerie's artwork can be called "fresh impressionism." She works in acrylic on cradled panels, carefully layering textured glazes to achieve an evocative "lake effect" for her contemporary landscape paintings. Rarely using a brush - think sponges! - Val enjoys the challenge of using ONLY the primary colors plus white. She shares these techniques and more in her CVA Studio painting classes.
