About Uzo Ehi

Hello and welcome!  My name is Uzo, and I am an artist currently residing in Los Angeles.  I enjoy using mixed media and collage to convey my personal message to others.  

As a first generation American born to West African parents, I have embraced both my parents' culture and the American culture I was immersed in, and often explore my quest to connect to my parents' ancestry in my artwork.  African textures and patterns, as well as themes centered around family bonds and Nigerian principles, shine through a number of my pieces.

Additionally, my work explores my own personal journey.  As an avid traveler and lover of foreign languages and experiences, I absorb aspects of the world around me and use my emotional lens to form a visual dialogue between myself and the viewer.  Producing artwork has allowed me to tap into my own inner spiritual core while sharing my personal experiences with the community at large.
