  • January Impressions 2021

January Impressions 2021. This painting was created after many studies were done at one site over several days (Covid compliant walks). The result is a continuous painting that covers the weather experienced in January. From dusk till dawn... Buxton Lamas water meadow, near the river Bure, looking South East.

This a You Tube Channel I have set up for people stuck at home, especially during the CoVid-19 crisis. I hope it might teach people a bit about art and artistic skills. People can perhaps learn new skills or just avoid boredom. Good luck. Tom

    EN PLEIN AIR...ON WELLS BEACH

The is is a photo taken of me working at one of the greatest places ito be in the world...the beach. It is fun working outside, especially with smaller work but painting on a canvas can be testing! The wind kept blowing the easel over and the sun and wind combined to act like a hair dryer. I try to paint outside as much as possible, sketching and painting when ever I can. I usually take the sketches back to the studio to 'work up' the bigger paintings...with out the wind blowing!
