    Northern bald ibis

    Currently, I am working on a series of watercolor portraits dedicated to the Northern bald ibis — a rare and highly charismatic bird with a striking appearance and strong presence. I am especially interested in its expressive head, textured skin, and the sculptural curve of its long beak. Through close-up compositions, I aim to show the individuality of each bird and to challenge the idea of conventional beauty, focusing instead on character, detail, and authenticity. This series continues my exploration of endangered species and reflects my desire to draw attention to birds that are often overlooked, inviting viewers to look closer and truly see them.
