Biography
"I would like to invite you into a world where colors and nature speak their own language" Tanja Frost.
Tanja Frost is an artist living and creating in Slovakia. Her path to painting was far from linear: originally an aerospace design engineer, it was only after moving to Europe over 18 years ago that she found the freedom and courage to fully embrace her artistic voice. Tanja studied fine art at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in painting.
Her work weaves together the precision of realism with the emotion of impressionism, capturing fleeting moments of natural beauty—be it the glimmer of light on water or the hush of a forest morning. Her paintings are filled with reverence, honesty, and a quiet sense of peace.
Each canvas is a reflection of her inner energy—a mosaic of cultures, journeys, and personal insights. In her art, Eastern sensitivity meets Western openness, with a natural spirituality that transcends borders and words. Tanja primarily paints in oil, valuing its depth, richness, and ability to preserve vibrant tones for decades.
Her work is more than a depiction of nature—it’s an invitation to pause, feel the silence, and reconnect with the present. Through her art, she shares her deep gratitude for the natural world and inner stillness, hoping to inspire others to find their own path toward appreciation and peace.
