What an ArtFinder Client recently said of me.    "As a side note: Suthamma (Ta) Thimkaeo has been absolutely lovely to work with - beyond being a talented artist, she is an excellent communicator, and one gets immediate sense that they are dealing with a truly caring, good and kind hearted soul. A true asset to have in your pool of curated artists. Ta has given us a truly fantastic first impression of Artfinder."

I donated this painting to the Rotary Club of Koh Samui where it was auctioned at a dinner and bought by this lovely couple I took it the next day to their beautiful home where it now hangs along with some of my other works.

I was commissioned by a very dear friend to paint 'Keen cyclist' for her husband also a very dear friend for his 80th birthday he was a very keen cyclist in his younger days and I was a little nervous that he would like it, this is the first time he sees it and in front of all his friends. I needn't had worried he loved it.

I put on a little black dress and some lipstick....

My first real exhibition was on Samui with a big cocktail party and lots of people all dressed up I had to make a speech and thank everyone, don’t forget I’m Thai and these were all Westerners, I’ve never done anything like it in my life before, my English is not bad but it’s far from perfect, but they were very kind to me. I put on a little black dress some red lipstick and made the most of it, I loved it, not so much the attention but the fact people I’ve never met before liked my work and wanted to talk to me about it.

    Working in the garden

I also have a beautiful garden which I sometimes use as my studio when it’s not too hot, but in the rainy season I have to move inside the house which I don’t like because it affects the light but I have no choice when it rains here and the wind blows it really rains and blows. I have my 2 dogs who like to sit and watch me paint especially in the cool of the evening, I’m also surrounded by the most beautifully coloured birds singing all day, large lizards and snakes which I like to keep a distance from but my dogs just sit and watch going about their business.
