    Painting emotions, reflecting emotions. Work that is full of emotions, that captivates the viewer, where you can reflect your own emotions.
    In her works there are pictures of people with captivating expressiveness. It is the emotions that these works reflect that captivate you. Sussi Hodel believes in the importance of thematic exploration, which allows her to delve into the subject matter in order to uncover its various aspects. The works should be touching and thought-provoking. They are a snapshot that goes into depth. The works can be classified as a combination of Expressionism with subtle hints of Pop Art. Expressionism allows her to capture the intended emotional expression in the most effective way, while she uses elements of Pop Art to give her works a soothing undertone.
    Oil colours are her preferred medium. The drying process is slow, which allows her to think carefully about the next steps in her painting process and puts less pressure on herself than with other techniques. 

    Her portfolio includes painting, installations and video art.

    Nun ist es soweit, wir stehen inmitten spannender neuer, bisher ungezeigter Werke und Künstler auf der Fläche der ehemaligen Sparkasse in H7, 1 und bereiten die Ausstellung vor, welche vom 17. September bis 17. Oktober bei uns zu sehen sein wird: “Bilder einer Ausstellung”. Hier zeigen wir erstmals ein erweitertes Portfolio mit noch nie präsentierten Künstlern und Werken, auch der Malerei und Skulptur, die in Dialog zum weiterhin bestehenden Schwerpunkt Fotografie gebracht werden.

    Der Titel lehnt sich an Mussorgsky an, der das gleichnamige Musikstück als Rundgang durch eine Ausstellung komponierte. Die wiederkehrenden Elemente des Wandelns durch die Räume zwischen den Bildern darin heißen "Promenade", zu der auch wir Sie alle herzlich einladen!
    Wir wollen gemeinsam mit Ihnen Kunst erleben von und über Kunst sprechen, ein Kunst-Ort und Kunst-Raum im Zusammenspiel sein, denn gerade aktuell sind das aus unserer Sicht wesentliche Faktoren.
