About Sunday L

In my studio on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, I work with acrylics on canvas, with an emphasis on texture. My pieces are full of colour and my three current collections comprise works of impressionist animals (equine and other animals); words and phrases; and completely abstract pieces.

I love working with acrylic paste to create deep, touchable texture on my canvases. I use colour to emphasise the surface structures. I enjoy the freedom straight Abstract painting allows me, but in my Animal paintings I aspire to capture just the essence of the creatures I paint.  My Words collection is part of an emotional journey and a desire to uplift others... art can inspire through image, but words are also very influential and to blend the two, I believe, is a very powerful combination.
