    Newsweek

    Newsweek

New York Times best selling author James Redfield (The Celestine Prophecy) photographed in his Alabama lakeside home. After my assistant and I made our introductions, the man himself told us 'you have 15 minutes'. Panicking somewhat, having been asked by the Newsweek picture editor to create a complex back projection portrait of the good man, we set up our equipment as fast as we could. Eight hours later, we were all enjoying the craic (Irish slang for 'banter') when we were joined, and fed, by his good wife. The aul' Irish patter definitely delivered on that great day!

    The Economist (cover)

Commissioned by The Economist as I was leaving the location to head back to the office with shots already taken, I arrived back in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast, Northern Ireland, to see (and photograph) a young rioter framed against burning barricades, built earlier to stop the police and army from gaining access to this Catholic area.
