Biography
I’m Daria Yablon-Soloviova, a contemporary painter working between realism and modern impressionism. My focus is the psychological presence of a person and the living sensation of light. Influences include Gainsborough, Turner, Velázquez, Sorolla and French Impressionists; I study their economy of means and the humanism behind every brushstroke.
My practice centers on portraiture and the human figure—works from the series “Classic · Living Portraits.” Alongside portraiture, I develop plein-air light studies as an ongoing project. Selected works from my studio archive (since 2013) are released here with careful curation.
If you’d like to commission a portrait, I accept a limited number of bespoke projects each season (guide below).
Thank you for visiting and for supporting original, studio-made art.
