I acquired a first and commissioned a second Loerie. I now have two highly unusual birds with different personalities. They always cause a reaction, the most unexpected paintings. The warm, vibrant colours remind me of Africa where the illusive Loeries are from.

This "Freak Bird" is absolutely adorable in a kind of freaky way. The eye conveys a wicked, teasing kind of look... that makes you look back, you ask what's in the gaze. Another Silvia Beneforti signature work- the natural world has a soul, a message.
