    I often do the provisional matting and framing myself, using either second-hand or simple frames. I prefer to let the customer/collector find the final fit-in-the-certain-room solution.

    Starting phase of "Something old, something new". Composing a setup can take long time before the actual painting process. Yet it is almost never final. There comes a point where the picture takes over the dictatorship and tells me how to proceed. Then I turn away from the initial setup in front of me. Figurally speaking - the body is ready to receive the soul
