About Sarah Perkins

I am a professional freelance artist & a proud member of the Association of Animal Artists.  I work from my bright studio on the 1st floor of Banks Mill in the heart of Derby, UK.

My passion and focus are Animals. My time is divided between customer commissions & my own creative works. With the use of acrylic paint on canvas my style is lively & vibrant. The techniques are self-developed, using the paint with a mixture of dense layers, dry dragging & layered washes of colour in order to create a contemporary interpretation of my subjects.

My inspirations have come from the admiration of impressionist painters & the pointillism styles of painting.
