About Sarah Nielsen
Biography
Sarah isn’t the kind of person who needs to make room for art in her life–she lives in it. When we were little, Sar was always up to some project or other requiring glue, tape, scissors, and whatever else she could find. I watched her grow from fantastic scribbles on construction paper to an accomplished artist. Her art is arresting because, I think, of family. She is tied to her family of four boys and an extended family that adores her: All these people inform her work. And it’s work that has an intrinsic buoyancy and lightness.
Really, it’s all about love. Love for her world, love for her people. She wants to make art accessible, so that everyone can afford to have art hanging on their walls. Because what we see has a profound impact on who we are.
