Beautiful, my lady in blue sitting, contemplating the world . She has a look of slight bemusement or is it bewildment, looking off into the distance, I’ll never know. That is what I love about a great painting, you see something different each time you look at it, I so wish for my lady to turn towards me and smile letting me in on her secret. The colours are rich and deep, sharper than pictured, the blue dress is so luscious I have an urge to run my hands over it. I love my Portrait of a Girl. Beautifully wrapped, she arrived at my address in a storm but it was safe and dry inside. Thank you S A Lana, I will be forever curious to know what my lady is looking at!

Loved this picture from the first time I saw it. Resisted for a long time as I'm rapidly running out of wall space but had to get it in the end.
