Biography
Drawing in Black Light is a collection of art canvases & prints. I have explored and worked with plants in their natural forms, focusing on their perfected life cycle, vital aesthetic, nutritional and medicinal roles. Growing and nurturing the plant varieties and painting them from life, deepening my connection with the subjects. The works are created in different mediums of art combining the traditional drawn, painted, collaged to contemporary digital manipulation to create novel discovered art, the outcome expanded the works form and shape into abstracted pieces manifesting new realities.
My drive to create comes from my fascination with the natural world, the ever expanding changing forms, occurrences and explosions of life. It has lead me to be more explorative with my art practice using mix media concepts. Mythology inspires me, how we saw the world 100's & 1000's of years ago in comparison to now. The natural world feels endless & a limitless pool of inspiration, many questions feel answered here when observing and I like to bring that richness through in my work.
