It's amazing how much atmosphere Roma Mountjoy has managed to infuse into this small painting. Every time I look at it, I'm struck with a sense of mystery and timelessness and, dare I say it, maybe even a little bit of "other." This painting has the trick of taking me out of my everyday lane of all things rational and gently sliding me onto the less-traveled track of "you know, maybe there really IS something else out there." Anyway, thank you, Roma. Your art is the perfect antidote when I find myself sinking into the mundane. This is such a sweet little painting. My husband, the real art collector in the family, is completely enamored with it. He has found the perfect spot for it to hang in our home. We love it! Thank you very much.
