My name is Richard Vloemans, born in 1983 in Waalwijk. I'm from a family that consists of artists and musicians. Creativity has been a part of me at an early age. My character is intuitive and sensitive. This enables me to make the artworks from intuition and association. I also try to reflect my emotions and feelings in all the works from the canvas to the camera. On the exploration of my artistic identity, I have tried many different types of currents and techniques. Here I have made a choice to professionalize myself in multiple directions.
Abstract Expressionism is a direction within modern art in which reality is not always imitated. They are shapes and colors with rhythms and contrasts. Abstract Expressionism means Richard's expression of feeling, color and experimentation with various objects. In this way he makes the colorful and distinctive artwork that you see in this exhibition. The artwork shows a lot of structure and consists of acrylic paint, spray paint, ink and airbrush. In addition to Talens usual gelmedia and hardening materials, he also uses home, garden and kitchen products to give his artwork the desired structure. These products are then mixed with acrylic paint and applied with palette knives. Sometimes Richard uses collage materials and mixed media techniques with enqoustic techniques and liquid acrylic paints to make the painting even more interesting. Richard Vloemans is a self-taught abstract expressionist painter from the Netherlands. He is known for his expressive way of painting, his use of colour and his colour explosions. Being expressive is not something you can learn. It is a way of looking at the world, a way of thinking and it is a way of life. Richard's paintings show the expressive way of his thinking. His paintings are free of mind and are full of colour and explosive painting. The artist's painting style is characterized by the coarse brushstrokes. I mainly use Talens acrylic paint and winsor newton acrylic paint. Finally, I put a coating on the works of art. The coating is semi-gloss and protects against UV light, scratches and weather conditions like moisture.
