  • British Museum Partership-painting residency

    During release from the second Lockdown in London, Matlakas is invited by JPE Technology Studio to create 4 paintings in an empty apartment in Tottenham Court Road, next to the British Museum, in order to create four works in one day. The empty apartment will eventually be a showroom where Matlakas' work will be permanently displayed. Matlakas explains in an interview s his work process and the ideas behind his work.

    Matlakas working on mural in Italy

    Matlakas in occasion of Borgo Universo Paints a colourful wall about galaxy and connection with living creatures and the space. Aielli is a small town in Italy that suffered a strong earthquake in 2015 and that today is reborn having many artists painting on its walls such as Okuda, Zamok, jo Pistone, Orode', Anastasia and finally Matlakas.
