    Peeling back the paper

    The inky acrylic sheet goes through my printing press and I carefully peel back the paper to see the result. This is layer 2 of a 4 layer process.

    Working on a monotype

    I'm in my studio working on a monotype. I've rolled out the ink on an acrylic sheet and now I'm making marks with a cloth. This will be layer two of a four layer process. It's not easy working in layers in reverse!

    These tiny thumbnail sketches are the bare bones of landscape and seascape compositions I'm thinking about. Most of them turn into full size monotypes but some get discarded along the way. Each sketch is only about 5cm square. The ideas come from walks, photographs and drawings

    Here's a corner of my studio where I display etchings and my greetings cards. The studio is an old Victorian school room so there are a few historic features like the coat hooks and stained glass windows.
