Dear Maria, I am so sorry in the delay replying to your review but I have been away. Thank you so much for selecting a piece of my work and that you find it evocative. I really find working on ancient boxwood exciting, partly because of the small scale of the blocks. I think also printing in monochrome really helps create an air of mystery. Only criticism is the frame looks a bit cheap but l suppose l could change it.

Hi Barbara I am so glad that the painting arrived safely and that you find this work a playful reminder of your recent trip to London. 'Mind the Gap' was one of the first memories of London I had when I first went there to study. I heard it and saw it on the platform as I caught the Circle line from Paddington. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review! I made the preparatory sketches for this piece sitting down on the shore at Bankside, and all the details you see in this wood engraving came from the amazing complexity of the view from the shoreline at low tide - not just from the elements revealed by the receding water, but the wonderful perspective of the superimposed bridges of the Thames in the background. It was a pleasure to create this piece.

A lovely painting, of personal meaning as it is my neighborhood. The painting is exactly as the image suggests. Packaging was excellent, and delivery very fast. Thank you very much Rebecca for a lovely piece that all of my friends and neighbours comment on as they pass it in my hallway.
