    Soaking up the colours of Cornwall

    A glorious view, a cliff top seat and the rich panorama of sea, sky and coastlands. This walk has long been part of our holiday history. To stand still and absorb and then lay blocks of colour onto to paper - bliss. This richness of colour and experience, absorbed into visual memory, play a part in later paintings even if the subject is completely different.

    Fulfilling a commitment to paint in front of a central city gallery to engage with visitors. A twice yearly, agreed role to support this relatively new project. I usually paint from life models - inappropriate in these circumstances, so continued to work on a previously started painting.
