About Peter Iverson

  When I was growing up I was surrounded by painters, both my mother (amateur) and great uncle (professional) were deeply committed to both painting and drawing.  Being immersed in art from as far back as I can remember had a profound influence on how I eventually began to see the world.  And while my relatives were both figurative painters, when I began making art I gravitated towards more abstract solutions.
  For the last few years my imagery has encompassed both abstract projects such as my Paper Series as well as still life imagery including both the Leaf Series and the Form Series which are available here. 
  If there is a common denominator to be found in all of my work it is the desire to produce photographs which provide the viewer with something both unexpected and visually compelling.
