Biography
Paul Ashwell produces bold and striking abstract
paintings and prints.
Inspired by repeated journeys, geology, music and
numbers, his background as a skilled printmaker also influences his
work.
His fascination with number and pattern is a reoccurring theme. His current work is focused around prime numbers. His Prime Marks painting is featured in the American Scientist article - Ode to prime numbers by Sarah Glaz, poet and professor of mathematic at the University of Connecticut.
