This is the second work I have purchase from Padmaja Madhu. My previous review applies to this work also. This painting seems to shine with a light of it's own. It is remarkable work. I am thrilled and proud to have this work in my home.

A wonderful painting. the computer screen did not and could not do this work justice. Subtle colours and powerful strokes. I am delighted and proud to have this work in my home.

WHAT, AM I A SCHMUCK?? no i don't buy 4 paintings i don't like. no i don't buy 4 paintings i do like...unless i can cut a good deal. let's call it the art of the art deal. padmaja is moving from oman to the bay area in the u.s. in the fall. now is the time to strike when she is under pressure to sell. so if you like her work, make her some offers. i have no idea of the specifics, but if i were she i would rather make a few bucks than pack and ship and then unpack and try to sell again. her work is good and take a look at the demi-abstracts she has just painted. so why didn't i try to steal them? i didn't have the guts because i'm a friend, but if i were you i certainly would try.

Hi Padmaja Just to let you know that the painting has arrived safe and sound and was delivered about half an hour ago. I too had sent a query to DHL and I think our joint efforts made them redeliver promptly. Anyway, you had wrapped up the parcel beautifully - no chance of any damage occurring on route. I think I'll even keep the nice flowery wrapping paper for future use! The painting is vibrant and colourful and I love how the shepherdess' red dress stands out against the wonderful sloping yellow and green background. I also love how you've got the lie of the land so well - it's just like I'm in the valley with her and the sheep. That's why I had no hesitation in buying it I like the frame too and I don't think it'll be long until it's up on the wall. Many thanks for sending it so quickly and for your correspondence keeping me informed. All went well in the end. Kind regards Marc

HI Joann, Great to hear your feed back. so glad you liked it. God willing we will meet one day! On a personal note this painting and its consequent sale gave a me a lot reassurance that I could continue to do what I love most, that is painting, when recently I had a retinal detachment and lost some vision in one of my eyes. But I stayed strong and took out my brushes and paints, "That never rest" put rest to my ambiguities. I truly appreciate you gave a home to this work. Best regards, Padmaja

Watching Over is the best piece the Pad has released on Art Finder to date, and I own 7 of her works. Forget the technical stuff. Notice that human and animal activity is the focal point of the painting, just about a first in her work. I think she is headed in a new, fuller direction. Let's keep an eye on her, and see where she goes.
