I received the 2 beautiful still lifes of fruit that I bought from Olexandr Romanenko within a very short time after buying them from him on Artfinder. All the way through our messages, he was friendly and polite and I have really enjoyed the experience of buying from him. When the package arrived, it was so well put together that it took me quite some time to get to the paintings inside! They were extremely well protected by many layers of bubble wrap and I thank him for the great care he took in wrapping them up. Each picture had an accompanying Certificate of Authority and a glorious colour photo for my records. His listings, the sizes and medium of oil, were entirely correct. Olexandr has a wonderful way with his art: in both of the still lifes I can almost see right through the vine leaves, his 'trompe l'oeil' is so effective. He paints with great flourish and uses colour extravagantly and confidently, resulting in pictures that are an instant delight to the eyes. The clarity and light in his paintings are reminiscent of the works of some of the 17th century Dutch Golden Age artists, including Adriaen Coorte and Johannes Vermeer, and I'm so thrilled to have 2 of his works in my possession. I will be 'Following' him from now on to make sure that I see all his new paintings as soon as he uploads them to Artfinder. Thank you very much, Olexandr!
