  • Alaska Fused Glass Window Process

Studio process for creating a custom Alaska-inspired fused glass window panel. This piece was designed as an interior glass window artwork featuring a breaching whale and mountain landscape. The process includes developing the design, selecting glass colors, cutting and arranging the pieces by hand, kiln firing, and preparing the finished panel for installation. The finished artwork is a one-of-a-kind fused glass window panel created for an interior space. Art Room 1412 is my handmade glass art studio, where I create stained glass panels, fused glass wall art, custom window panels, sculptural glass bowls, and original one-of-a-kind glass pieces.

Making Blue Lovers, Fused Glass Portrait

Studio process for Blue Lovers, the second artwork in my Lovers Series. This 12 x 12 inch fused glass wall piece is made from three shades of blue glass, cut and arranged by hand into a geometric portrait composition. The artwork is kiln-fired using a contour fuse technique, which keeps the linework and structure visible while giving the glass a finished dimensional surface. Blue Lovers is an original one-of-a-kind glass artwork made in my studio.

    Creating Fused Glass Horse Art

A look inside my studio process. Each fused glass piece begins with a design, then individual pieces of glass are cut, arranged by hand, and kiln-fired. I work with color, shape, and glass texture to build each artwork before it becomes a finished wall piece or sculptural object.
