About Noe

  • Biography
My name is Nohelia Reyes and I go by the name of Noe.  I'm a Venezuelan artist living in the outskirts of London.

I love telling stories through my art, whether that is an abstract piece, a detailed portrait, or still life.

My paintings are directly related to situations and subjects I’m concerned about, either socially or emotionally.

I have a fascination with indigenous communities from around the world and I feel a strong bond to these communities by means of self-exploration and self-assessment.    Most of my inspiration comes from these communities and their environment in addition to some of my own.

My current works explore humanity and the beauty of racial diversity, mainly focused on female portraits.  I am a mother of two girls, I have one sister and I'm the daughter of one of seven women in my family, so women represent a powerful source of inspiration in my life.

I work intuitively depending on how I feel and I like to experiment with different mediums,  so you will find a mixture of them in my work.

All my work plus more listed on my website, where I endeavour to use a percentage of the sales to help charities I am passionate about.
