I have watched Nelly’s work for a long time on Artfinder, drawn to her series of landscape/sky scape paintings. I saved. I finally was able to purchase one, and I could not be more pleased or more impressed. The piece is meditative, serene; the colors are exquisite. It seems new with every change of light. It feels paradoxically intimate and universal. I am privileged to have it, to live with it. It is a small window of clarity in a world that so often feels violently chaotic. (An aside: there were difficulties and confusions regarding delivery. This was in no way Nelly’s fault, and she tried valiantly to untie the knots that existed between Europe and FedEx and U.S. Customs. It’s a long story, but Nelly kept me informed the entire time of where the painting was, and what was being done to get it delivered. We never did get an explanation. I wish that Artfinder admin could have been proactive, but they are a small team apparently, and basically told us we had to solve the problem ourselves - which, in the end, we did.)
