About Marina Petukhova

  • Biography
My name is Marina Petukhova (Rogusheva). I am an artist because I cannot imagine spending my time without a brush in my hand, paint on my clothes, and beauty flowing out of my heart. I find my happiness in doing art. I enjoy working with oil paints using both classic and contemporary techniques and my work most always has a reference to flowers and nature.

The beauty of nature helps to find peace of mind. Nature is the best inspiration for me. There is an amazing combination of eternity and fleeting in nature. I paint flowers, the sunshine, cats sleeping in the garden, the smell of green grass, emotions, feelings, thoughts, and everything that makes me happy. People associate flowers with happy moments of life. Through my paintings, I transmit light, colour, air, warmth, emotions, inspiration.

I studied at the Art school and workshops of Russian and Italian artists. Also, I graduated from The International school of design (IDS). My arts education at The Moscow State Academic Art Institute has helped me develop a great foundation in the arts.

By now I have participated in several exhibitions.

    Recent exhibitions:
     — "Art today. A wonderful moment", exhibition hall “Tushino”, Moscow, May 16 - June 04, 2019
     — “Enchantment of winter days”, Central house of artists (CHA), Moscow, December 21 - January 13, 2019
    — “In the space of sunlight”, Central house of artists (CHA), Moscow, September 12 - October 04, 2018
