The colours are much more muted than the photo on the site - but the picture is a delight.

I am so glad you tink your pront is a delight and sorry that you think I have not represented it correctly, being the artist I am very picky that the photo looks like the original and judging by previous reviews I do a good job as almost all customers tell me the print looka better in real life. As I am sure you are aware, colour representation varies a lot from computer to computer and there are free softwares available to set your colors on the screen, so they look like the photo. Etchibg inks are by their very nature soft in colors as they are transparent, somewhat like watercolors. This might help in any future purchases of etchings. This is also why for me, the combination of etchings and linocut works great as one is quite soft and the other really colorful. I hope you enjoy your print for a long time to come! I am totally delighted with my artwork - thanks Marianne! I am currently having it framed in a whitwashed type of timber so it should really fit with our beach house (so sorry no pics). Will post a pic later if i can. I only gave 3 stars for packaging as despite your clear instructions to please not bend, it does have a small crease mark in the artwork. Perhaps tougher protection is required when sending to Australia? Thanks again! 😀

I am so glad you like your seagulls! And so sorry the mail bent it. I'd be superhappy to send a replacement? I always take full responsibility for my shipping and am very dedicated to happy customers! I'll take your 3 stars on board and send all my prints to further away in a tube in the future, that way illiterate postpeople does get less of a chance to do damage! Having received my Artwork from Mariann it has now been flattened (comes in a tube) and framed. Thanks to Marianns' enclosed framing instructions I didn't have to try and explain what was required to the framer. I am so pleased/impressed with this work and can't wait for an excuse to have buy another piece. As linocuts are a new medium to me then it has stirred my interest in looking into them more. Thanks to Mariann for 2 pieces of wonderful work.

Wonderful woman. Wonderful artist. If i had more room and more money i would buy more. And, perhaps i will in the near future. i just wish delivery from Denmark was a little more responsible.
