The beauty and balance of colour is brilliant. Looking both vulnerable and femme fatale, the model’s face is unforgettable. This painting, like most of Maxence’s paintings, call out to you. His talent is immediately obvious but his ability to capture a “moment in time” has a photographic like quality. I will continue to watch and collect this major talent.

Maxence, as always, has been a pleasure to work with. Father's Hand has always been my favorite piece of his and I let him know this. Astonishingly enough, he messaged me (without any pressure from me, mind) and told me he'd be willing to offer me a special rate on the piece. I was elated and touched. Once received, I found a hand-signed certificate of authenticity as well as a hand-written letter from Max. I was speechless, not only at his talent and skill (which, I feel, is as obvious as the sky is blue), but by his generosity and thoughtfulness. Max is a rare human being and a luminary of the art world. I can assure you, if you choose to purchase Max's art, you will receive excellent customer service as well as the pleasure of conversing with one of the finest people on the planet. Highly recommended.

This is the second painting I ordered from Mr. Ma and, if it was possible, it is even more impressive than the first (That Hot Afternoon). Maxence told me he has a penchant for portraits and I have to agree. The photos posted on the website do the painting no justice. In person, when you can see the brush strokes and the minute graduations in color and composition, it's an incredible experience. I've had a few friends over to see the painting, and they all agree that it is their favorite. I also want to take a moment to mention something special Maxence did with this particular shipment. The painting arrived nearly a week earlier than expected. Within the parcel was a hand-written letter and a photograph he had taken. In the letter, he explained the circumstances surrounding the creation of the photo as well as expressing his sincere thanks for my purchasing of his work. This touched me. It was thoughtful and illustrates Maxence's desire to go above and beyond when sharing his work and his genuine love of art. Maxence is a prime example of humanity. He is a genuinely good person and an extraordinarily talented artist. I would recommend him to anyone. If you are looking to purchase some artwork, please consider Mr. Ma... you won't regret it.

First things first, Maxence is a stellar human being. His communication was spectacular, each of the paintings I've ordered from him arrived nearly a week early, and he was kind enough to include hand-signed certificates of authenticity as well as some truly thoughtful extras. Aside from that, the quality of the work is simply breathtaking. That Hot Afternoon is stunning beyond words. The palette choice, the vibrancy of the brush strokes, the almost ethereal quality of the painting... not to mention the masterful composition. Maxence is an obviously gifted painter and photographer who loves creating and sharing his work. He is a joy to buy from and his pieces are reasonably priced. I would recommend him one-thousand times over and never miss an opportunity to talk about him or his work amongst my friends and peers.
