Working on Au rendez-vous des poètes

Working in my studio on Au rendez-vous des poètes, a large-scale diptych exploring literature, interpretation and the art of conversation. This photo captures part of my painting process, adding the final details directly on the canvas in my Hamburg studio.

    Where the Paintings Rest

    Where the Paintings Rest

A quiet corner of my studio, where finished paintings and works in progress are stacked and stored. I like having works from different periods sharing the same space, creating a kind of visual archive of my practice.

Ja, why? Graphite and typewriter typing on paper, 2011

Ja, why? Graphite and typewriter typing on paper, 2011

This drawing was sold and it belongs to a private collection in Los Angeles. The drawing was made with graphite on paper and is part of a series of drawings entitled, "The Typewriter Series". Made with typewriter typing I tried to play with the juxtaposition of the letters, giving a rainy sensation. While falling, the letters become the title of the work Ja, why?
