This is the second painting I have purchased from Lizzie Butler. I selected this one because I wanted something with the feel of Spring. This work reminds me of the clear, cold water which remains after a Winter of snow, but also the hint of the warmth to come depicted in the fresh, green trees. All aspects of my purchase were outstanding. I highly recommend this artist and hope to acquire more of her works in the future.

To be able to pass on something of the atmosphere and sense of place that inspired a piece and have that transported and interpreted in a different settling - indeed different country, is an enormous pleasure. I first saw the painting "Sussex Downs" and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I needed a larger work for where I wanted to display it. Lizzie suggested a few options, one of which was for her to paint a "Sussex Downs II" in the size I wanted. She said that this was possible in this particular case due to the nature of the painting. We communicated via email on the details. Lizzie sought my input and made every attempt to please me. I enjoyed working with her very much and hope to purchase works from her in the future. Lizzie was very responsive to my queries. The website illustrated the painting with excellent definition and the physical painting came entirely up to my expectation. I am very pleased with the whole transaction.
