    I searched a long time for this table, and finally found it in the weekend flea market in Chelsea, NYC. This was 20 years ago. It was covered with a sticky dark varnish and I worked to restore it. The table is oak, incredibly well made and very heavy. If objects have souls this furniture is an old and sympathetic one. You can see the view of the lake through the big jalousie windows. I am blessed with northern light, as well. It's a wonderful place to work. There is even a sliding glass door in the event my parrot won't stop squawking.
