A bit more homogenous and less textured than the photo implies, but still an evocative painting of considerable depth.

Hi Stephen, thank you for taking time to write the review. Sorry , you thought the photo showed more texture. When I use texture, I always state it in the description. Highly textured or medium texture. In the case of this painting, there was no texture. Computer monitors are configured differently for everybody and what you thought was texture, could be the irridescent blue paint, I have used in some areas. This was my first experience of buying art from a member of the Artfinder community and I love my purchase. There was some delay with the delivery (the USPS' fault), and Laura Spring was very helpful in tracking my package. Her responses were prompt and friendly, and the issue was resolved. I like Laura Spring's paintings very much and will buy some of her art work in the future.

I enjoyed working with Laura. She responded quickly to my questions and even made small modification to the work for me my painting the edges black, for a museum-wrapped aesthetic. As for the piece I purchased, Reminiscence, I am somewhat disappointed...not in the work, but in ArtFinder.com. The rich detail and use of mixed media cannot be seen through the photographs on ArtFinder.com, which is an unfortunate limitation. I am lucky I discovered Reminiscence and that it captured my attention, or else I would have missed out on all the subtle detail that now hangs on my wall. The piece is exquisite and I hung Reminiscence in a prominent location in my space. I now follow Laura in anticipation of discovering another enchanting surprise.

Arrived in good time and was well packaged. The painting was smaller than I expected but overall was good quality.

Thank you for taking time to write the review. The painting is 24" X 24", as stated in description. Perhaps you expected it to look larger on the wall.
