My painting arrived from "across the pond" in perfect condition. It had been triple wrapped as well as gift wrapped, and included information about the artist and some of his other works. We're enjoying it, as it reminds us of our own sons at a time when exploration was a high pursuit for them.

First of all - the painting is absolutely gorgeous! I had been admiring it for quite some time before deciding I would never forgive myself if I don't buy it. It arrived to Canada in less than a week and as the other customer mentioned, it came in a "bomb-proof" packaging that took me a while to dig through, and...as I already said - the painting is gorgeous. The colors are a bit different from what one sees on the computer screen but still fantastic. The brush strokes or the pallet knife strokes (I'm obviously not an expert, just an amateur art lover) look beautiful and add so much to the texture and depth of the painting especially if looked at from an angle - something you don't see on the computer screen. I'm very happy that I now have this artwork in my home and looking forward to buying another painting from this artist to hang them as a pair. Thank you Valery for this beautiful piece of art!

Dear Maria, thank you so much for your generous and thoughtful review. I am delighted you liked the picture. You are absolutely spot on - regarding the difference between computer image and real canvas. The colours tend to appear more intense on screen, while the brushstrokes almost disappear (and in my work they are significant, as you rightly noted). Oh, the "bomb-proof packaging" is the result of a painful lesson I learned some years ago - since then I don't take chances. My apologies for your inconvenience of unpacking extra layers. Purchased a painting from Valery which arrived in bomb proof packaging, once I finally dug my way in I was delighted, first with the top quality of the frame and then the unbelievable painting inside it. An absolute gem that has transformed the room. Will be looking to add more.
