This the third painting I have bought by Koen. Each one is very different in colour, tone, feel and texture while retaining something that marks each of them out as distinctively by him. This one seems to me like the dark side of an unfamiliar and luxuriant landscape passing by, seen through the looking glass. But then, that's probably just me...

Koen's work is fascinating. It has great texture, layer on layer: very rich and satisfying. The painting was sent out straight away in a wooden box so it arrived very well protected.
