Biography
I'm fascinated by the space between the subtle and the definite and the relationship between layer and line. Expressive splashy painters like J-M Basquiat and Cy Twombly are obvious influences but also the quiet and thoughtful moves of Agnes Martin have also left a profound mark on me. The paintings of birds seek to explore the complexities of human social relationships - or maybe they're just nice pictures of birds.
