A familiar setting rendered in abstract forms and colors - that's what Kestutis' paintings evoke for me. If you've ever spent any time in the eastern corners of Europe, you will recognize it in Kestutis' paintings. The skill with which the artist depicts shadows and textures on buildings, or the clouds in the sky, is evident both from the online photos but also when you see a piece up close. There's a lot of complexity in those seemingly abstract, simple forms, and a lot of it comes from the technique with which they are painted. Highly recommended!
