About Katia Ricci
Biography
I am an oil painter living on the Adriatic coast of Italy. I am inspired by the everyday things I see around me and I try to capture the essence of color and its combinations in my work. I believe that color is the foundation of art and that it can be found everywhere, if we only take the time to appreciate its ever-changing beauty. My favorite place is near my easel, where my heart beats with a special rhythm. My main subjects are flowers, birds, landscapes, seascapes, food, animals but I also occasionally explore portraiture. All of my paintings are signed both with my surname - Iourashevich and sometimes - Ricci that is my husband's surname and my art pseudonym.
