Kate’s work will be on display as part of a group exhibition with ‘TRIA’ this summer in Cambridge.
Cambridge Open Studios is a community of over 500 artists, craftspeople, and designer-makers working throughout Cambridgeshire. The aim is to promote the making of original works of art and craft, and to forge lasting relationships between local people and local makers.

I have recently been invited to become a member of the Cambridge Drawing Society.
The Society is believed to be one of the oldest of its kind in the UK, having been founded in 1882 by Lady Sandys, wife of the Public Orator. In 2007, the Society celebrated the 125th anniversary of its foundation
Four of my original pieces where hung in the selected exhibition this April.
Each March/April the main art exhibition takes place. In recent years it has been held at The Pitt Building in Trumpington Street, Cambridge. The works exhibited are chosen by a Selection Committee of nine members of not less than 5 years standing and chaired by the Society President.

Society of East Anglian Watercolourists Annual Selected Exhibition
‘A showcase of 150 paintings, all demonstrating the beauty, variety and unique qualities of watercolour. Visitors will have a chance to view and purchase original framed, unframed paintings and cards that offer a variety of perspectives of the local area and beyond and take part in a variety of workshops, demonstrations and ‘meet the artist’ opportunities.’

Event: Vivacity Open Exhibition

An exciting platform for creatives which celebrates the best in visual arts, this year’s Open Exhibition marks the 4th edition of its kind. This year Vivacity have welcomed 600 entries from over 240 artists across the UK as well as and a handful from outside the UK. We have recognised works from artists who have entered in previous years, yet have also seen a large proportion of new entrants and emerging artists who are in the early stages of their career.
Biography
Kate has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at The Cambridge School of Art where she continues to explore new artistic directions.
Kate’s work focuses on creating small abstract compositions and lively pieces primarily using watercolour and ink. Her distinctive style highlights a vibrant interplay of colour and form, capturing the essence of her subjects.
Based in Cambridge, England, Kate is a member of the Drawing Society and the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists where she recently received the ‘SEAW Members Award’.
Kate is continually inspired by the wonder of the natural world and recent watercolour work has been published in ‘Paint’ magazine.
