    Getting started with a shimmer...

    My work lately has evolved to include metallic powder suspended in the paint as it flows across the surface. This painting was the catalyst for experimenting with the technique. As a commission close to my heart it seemed a necessary addition to its narrative... looks pretty cool too! Like it? I love being commissioned, just ask me for details.

    Out and about sketching in my favourite place in the world, Snowdonia, Wales. Truly magnificent, if a little cold! This time I spent 4 hours (only 1 of which was dry) sketching around Llyn Idwal, Tryfan and Ogwen Cottage. A flask of hot tea is essential :)
